The IBM TotalStorage 3581 Tape Autoloader Express Models 3581L3H and 3581F3H offer high capacity, performance, and technology designed for the midrange open systems environment. These models incorporate a single Linear Tape-Open (LTO) IBM TotalStorage Ultrium 3 Tape Drive which more than doubles tape drive performance over the previous-generation LTO Ultrium 2 Tape Drive (Ultrium 2), to up to 80 MB/sec native data transfer rate. The 3581 Express models can provide an excellent solution for businesses looking for high density and performance tape autoloader storage in constrained rack environment. The 3581 offers a single Ultrium 3 tape drive and storage for up to eight tape cartridges, and is available in both Low Voltage Differential (LVD) Ultra160 SCSI and 2 Gbps Fibre channel interface
